POTSDAM -- The county’s American Association of University Women book group will discuss “The White Queen: A Novel (the Cousin’s War)” by Phillippa Gregory Wednesday, Jan. 8 at noon at the Potsdam Public Library.
Gregory, known as the “queen of royal fiction,” presents the first of a new series set among the deadly feuds in England known as the War of the Roses. The book is the basis for a ten part British television miniseries.
Next month the group will meet Feb. 12 to discuss “The Orphan Master’s Son: A Novel” by Adam Johnson, this year’s Pulitzer Prize for Fiction winner.
A brown bag lunch is encouraged.
