MASSENA -- The Massena Senior Citizens organization will offer the AARP driver-safety program Thursday and Friday, Oct. 19 and 20 at the community center on Beach Street.
It is the last course scheduled for 2017.
The “Smart Driver” course is suitable for all drivers — regardless of age. Participants must attend both sessions. After completing the course, they receive a three-year insurance discount and are eligible to reduce up to four points on their state driver’s license.
Classes are scheduled from 10 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
Pre-registration is required by calling 315-769-7810 no later than Oct. 12. The fee is $20 for AARP members and $25 for non-members.
Participants can pay by check or money order payable to AARP at the first class session.
Participants must bring their driver’s license and a current AARP card (if a member) to each class session.
For the first class session, participants must arrive 15 minutes early.
