CANTON -- The final event of the Remington Arts Festival is the Remington Historic 5k Run/Walk Sunday, Oct. 4 beginning at Frederic Remington's grave site at Evergreen Cemetery, walkers starting at 8:45 a.m. and runners at 9.
The race winds through many points of interest on the St. Lawrence Campus and throughout the village, before ending at his birth home on Court Street, showing participants the sites of activities Remington experienced during his life in Canton, including fun facts along the way.
The race is a fundraiser for the festival. $10 registration will be held at 8am on Route 11 near the Evergreen Cemetery and University Plaza. A van will provide transportation from the finish to the starting parking lot. Registration includes a T-shirt for the first 45 registrants.
You can print your form online or at the start.
