CANTON -- Renewal House’s Mother’s Day 5K Fun Run/Walk takes participants across the Remington Recreation Trail at Partridge Run Golf Course Saturday, May 12.
Registration starts at 8:30 a.m. and runner and walkers set out at 9 a.m.
The annual event is a major fundraiser for the local domestic violence and sexual assault agency.
The entry fee is $20 for adults and $10 for children 12 and under. A stainless steel tumbler will be given away to the first 75 registered participants.

All proceeds will benefit the adults and children who seek services at Renewal House.
One grand prize will be given to the person who collects the most money. That prize is a Dyson all-floors vacuum cleaner donated by Sears in Potsdam. There will be a prize for the first runners, man, woman, boy/girl (12 and under) who cross the finish line.
YES FM and Q-Country will broadcast live and refreshments will be provided.

Renewal House is a not-for-profit agency committed to providing services to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault throughout St. Lawrence County. Renewal House provides 24-hour crisis intervention, individual and group counseling, personal and legal advocacy, children/youth services, safe housing, Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner’s (SANE) program, community education/training, and basic information and referral. Renewal House aided 943 victims last year through these various services.
