MADRID -- The St. Lawrence County Dairy Promotion will hold its 53rd Dairy Princess Pageant Sunday, April 30 at Madrid Community Building.
Light refreshments and “Cowtails” will be served at 2 p.m. followed by the pageant. Admission is $5 per person and anyone is welcome. The St. Lawrence County Dairy Promotion Committee invites all members of the community to attend.
Contestants running this year are Camryn Chester, Lisbon, daughter of Allen and Amy Chester, sponsored by C&M Dairy; Maureen Pierce, Heuvelton, daughter of Kelvin and Carolyn Pierce, sponsored by Ranch Veterinarians; and Emily teRiele, Canton, daughter of Kevin and Kimberly teRiele, sponsored by the teRiele Family Dairy LLC.
The Dairy Princess Program promotes and educates the public on the dairy industry, dairy products, and supports dairy farmers. Follow their efforts on the St. Lawrence County Dairy Promotion Facebook page.
The new princess and the court will attend the Canton Dairy Princess Parade Saturday, June 3, at 1 p.m. in downtown Canton.
