BRASHER FALLS -- The 42nd annual Tri-Town Carnival is gearing up for its celebration scheduled from Feb. 19 to 22 in parts of Brasher Falls, Winthrop, North Lawrence, Stockholm and Helena.
This years theme is "Tri-Towns Celtic Carnival."
"As the parade chairperson, I am seeking groups, businesses and organizations for our Winter Carnival Parade,” said Michelle First The parade will be judged this year and the prizes are $100, $50, and $25. Anyone wishing to enter their float in the parade can contact me at 389-5318," she said.
The event will include a magic show, opening dinner and snowman contest Feb. 19.
Highlights on Feb. 20 include a talent show, "human foosball" and fireworks.
Events for Saturday will feature a parade, snowmobile races and a snowshoe and cross-country ski poker run.
Sunday events will included ATV/UTV races, a snowmobile poker run and snow baby contest.
The new library will also have a Winter Carnival event this year which is a "Celtic Maiden Storytime," First said. It takes place just before the parade."
