CANTON -- The 4-H Program of Cornell Cooperative Extension of St. Lawrence County has scheduled classes that will cover topics of interest to horse owners in the North Country, open to anyone.
The classes will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Saturdays, Jan. 14 and 21 in the Extension Learning Farm Classroom on State Rt. 68. The first class is on horse breeds and their characteristics; the second is on equine health care. They are free to 4-H members and $3 for non-members.
These classes are offered through the 4-H Equine Program, to offer basic knowledge and information to help horse owners and prospective owners in purchasing and caring for horses.
