OGDENSBURG – The 4-H Dressage Clinic and Standardbred Day will be held Oct. 13 at Sunnybrook Farm, 92 County Route 28 from 1 to 3 p.m.
Joan Carlisle, owner of Sunnybrook Farm will give an overview into the world of Dressage. Sara McDonell, who has ridden under Carlisle for many years and shown at the state level, will give a demonstration ride performing a musical kur. There will be time for 4-H horse members to practice dressage on their own horse. Judy Boyer from Raindrop Hill Farm in Lisbon will conclude the event with a talk entitled, “Standardbred - Life after the Track.”
To bring your horse, a helmet and negative coggins and rabies are required. Call the 4-H office at 379-9192 to register your horse for the clinic. There is a heated viewing room and donuts, coffee and cider will be available.
