MASSENA -- The Massena Memorial Hospital Foundation is hosting its 25th radiothon on May 16 to raise money for three pieces of equipment for the hospital.
They are looking to raise money to buy the Massena rescue squad an EKG receiver, which allows EMTs to send EKG results to the hospital before a patient arrives.
The foundation is also looking to garner funds for a Zoll monitor, which enables constant vital monitoring from other hospital areas such as medical imaging for the emergency department.
The third item they wish to receive donations toward is an equilibrate system, which is used for balance testing for athletes’ pre- and post-concussion testing, stroke patients and patients with other balance issues for the physical therapy department.
