POTSDAM -- The St. Lawrence County Arts Council in partnership with the state Council on the Arts is providing “art$TART grants” of up to $2,500 to inspire creative teaching partnerships between artists and schools in St. Lawrence, Lewis and Jefferson counties.
The grant is designed to suppport collaboratively planned projects by teachers and artists that enrich student education in and through the arts.
Grant coordinator Robert Fowler will conduct an information workshop Wednesday, April 18 from 6 to 8 p.m. in Clarkson University’s downtown Snell Hall, room 230, to help teachers and artists understand guidelines and application materials required.
