20th annual New York State Maple Weekend slated for March 21 - 22 and 28 - 29

Several local maple producers are preparing demonstrations and lining up samples for people who visit their operations during the 20th annual New York State Maple Weekend scheduled for March 21-22 and March 28-29.The public can see how maple syrup and other maple products are made and witness the boiling process for free. Producers will have syrup and other maple products for sale so visitors can take some home with them.Producers in St. Lawrence County participating during the Maple Weekend are:

• Sweeter Creations Sugar House, 3345 State Highway 345, Waddington; info: 322-5535.

• Finen Maple Products, Jim and Margaret Finen, 529 Austin Ridge Rd., Norwood, maple syrup products, ATV buggy rides through the sugar woods. Info: 240-405-2231 or 301-524-8628.
