POTSDAM -- The SUNY Potsdam Department of Theatre and Dance will present the 2014 Student Choreographers' Concert, including two programs of original dance works created and performed by students, from Dec. 5 to Dec. 7.
Two concerts of 10 pieces each will be presented in the Dance Theater, located in the SUNY Potsdam Performing Arts Center.
Performances of Concert A will be presented on Friday, Dec. 5 at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 6 at 2 p.m.
Concert B will be offered on Saturday, Dec. 6 at 7:30 p.m. and will close the series with a matinee on Sunday, Dec. 7 at 2 p.m.
Doors will open 30 minutes before each performance. Genres include technically challenging to the thematically intriguing, from the highly kinetic to abstractly sculptural, and from laugh-out-loud comedic to highly dramatic.
Stylistically, everything from jazz to ballet and contemporary to tap dance is represented.
Admission is free, and tickets will be available at the door beginning one hour before each performance. Info: 267-2556.
