CANTON -- The 18th Annual North Country Crop Congress, including information for DEC pesticide certification, is set for Wednesday, Feb. 19 at the Best Western University Inn. The program will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Scheduled speakers are Dr. Allison Chatrchyan, Director, Cornell Institute for Climate Change and Agriculture; Dr. Quirine Ketterings, Cornell University Dept. Animal Science; Anita Figueras, CCE St. Lawrence County; Dr. Russ Hahn, Cornell University Crop and Soil Science Dept.; Mike Hunter, CCE Jefferson and Lewis Counties; and Dr. Kitty O'Neil, CCE Northern N.Y.
The cost is $25 per person before Feb. 8 or $30 at the door. Lunch and educational materials are included in each registration.
To receive the DEC pesticide certification credits, attendees must stay for the entire program.
