POTSDAM -- The 10th James & Katherine Andrews Young Artist Instrumental Competition will be held Saturday, Feb. 13, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Hosmer Hall, SUNY Potsdam.
The competition is open to instrumentalists in grades 9 through 12 and includes woodwinds, brass, strings, keyboard, piano and harp.
First place will win $500, two complimentary tickets to March 18 and 19 concerts, and an appearance as a soloist in the work performed at the competition with ONNY at the March 19 concert at SUNY Potsdam.
The runner up will take home a $300 cash prize and two tickets to the March 18 and 19 concerts. Third place receives a $150 cash prize and two tickets.
The fee is $50 and the deadline to enter is Feb. 1.
