MASSENA DRUG FREE COALITION COORDINATOR: The Seaway Valley Prevention Council is seeking a full-time Coalition Coordinator to work with the Massena Drug Free Community Coalition’s Drug Free Communities (DFC) grant. Focus will be on marijuana and prescription drug abuse prevention. The Coalition Coordinator will be responsible to assist in the general day-to-day activities of the coalition as well as assessment, capacity building, planning, implementation, and evaluation activities associated with DFC priorities. The coordinator will guide the coalition to develop and implement strategies leading to long-term involvement of community institutions, organizations, and individuals in marijuana and prescription drug abuse prevention. The coordinator will also be responsible for ensuring that necessary federal reporting requirements are met. This position is a working position and includes performing the GL, and other accounting functions. The MHA operates 241 federally subsidized apartments for low-income families, elderly individuals and persons with disabilities. Minimum Qualifications: Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with a Bachelor’s degree, plus three years of full-time paid managerial experience in one or more of the following areas: planning, budgeting, contracts, office management (including personnel and payroll), one year of which shall include supervision. Familiarity with HUD PHA financial and occupancy requirements is a must, as is knowledge of PHA software. Anticipated start date is January 2, 2018.
