WATER QUALITY SUPERVISOR TRAINEE: DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: The Development Authority of the North Country (DANC) seeks applicants for a Water Quality Supervisor Trainee. DANC is a multi-faceted New York State public benefit corporation created in the mid-1980s. QUALIFICATIONS: The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or related math/science field and be able to obtain a 3A wastewater license within eighteen months. Candidates that have completed an Associate’s degree with experience and/or existing NYS water/wastewater licenses will be considered. Three years of experience in water/wastewater operations is preferred. Strong technical, written/verbal communication skills, and computer proficiency in MS Office applications required. The position requires the ability to manage and prioritize varied workload and support multiple projects. Travel between Jefferson, St. Lawrence, Lewis and Franklin counties is required.
