WINTHROP -- Elliott’s Farm and Home Supply, 648 State Highway 11C, received a 2015 Small Business Excellence Award from the NY Small Business Development Center.
The store sells feed, seeds, fertilizer, as well as pet supplies, home and garden supplies, hardware and locally crafted gift items.
Harold L. Elliott and Asa Moulton founded the business in 1935 as Moulton & Elliott’s GLF Store. In 2011, Harold’s granddaughter Cindy Elliott-Niles and husband John purchased the business and refocused and rebranded it.
“Today the store is reminiscent of the old-fashioned country store where customers can buy most anything and tend to gather for good conversation,” a press release from the SBDC said.
