The Northern New York Community Foundation awarded $19,000 in grant funding to four St. Lawrence County organizations.
The Wanakena footbridge rebuilding and restoration effort will receive $10,000. The structure, which is listed in the National Register of Historic Places, was destroyed by an ice burst in January. It was built in the 1900s.
The Norwood Village Green Concert Series will get $5,000 to purchase new lighting for the bandshell.
The Canton Golden Bear Packs program is receiving $2,000 for food and nutrition for the 2014-15 school year.
The St. Lawrence County Arts Council will see $2,000 for the Potsdam Plein Arts Festival.
