CANTON -- Nearly 40 companies and organizations are expected to participate in SUNY Canton’s Fall Career Fair held 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 17, at two locations on campus.

The event is free and open to job seekers from the campus and from the community.

Employers seeking to recruit for positions in the engineering and technology fields will be set up in Nevaldine Hall’s Automotive Laboratory.

All other employers will be located in the Richard W. Miller Campus Center room 212.

“Our career fair often serves as a first interview for our students seeking to gain employment after college or a professional internship while they complete their education,” said Julie A. Parkman, the college’s director of career services.

“We encourage our students and visitors to come prepared with their resumes even if they are not seeking immediate employment. Networking with employers is a smart way to approach a future career.”

The Career Services Office has prepared a brochure listing all of the employers attending the fair, which is available online.

The October career fair comes just after the college’s first virtual career fair.

The event drew approximately 300 students from SUNY Canton and surrounding colleges who met with more than 20 employers.
