MASSENA -- State, local and Alcoa union officials will meet tonight in Massena discuss Alcoa’s plan to cease smelting operations and shutter the east plant.
Sen. Joseph Griffo, R-Rome, Sen. Patty Ritchie, R-Heuvelton, Sen. Betty Little, R-Queensbury and Assemblywoman Addie Russell, D-Theresa will meet with Massena Town Supervisor Joseph Gray, Mayor Timmy Currier, President Robert Smith of the United Steelworkers Local 420-A union, and other officials.
