The number of people working in non-farm jobs in St. Lawrence County was the same last month as it was in August 2013.
The state labor Department reported Thursday that it tallied 39,000 non-farm jobs in the county this August, the same number of non-farm jobs in August last year.
These figures, not seasonally adjusted, are part of a preliminary report from the Labor Department on August numbers of employed and unemployed people in the state.
A more comprehensive report for August is due next week.
