St. Lawrence County gained a few non-farm jobs in October compared to the same month last year, which was below the state gain.
St. Lawrence County gained 100 non-farm jobs for a total of 42,900, up .2 percent from 42,800 in October 2015, according to the state Department of Labor.
To our east in Franklin County, the number remained flat at 19,400.
To our west in Jefferson County, the number rose 1.6 percent to 43,600 last month from 42,900 in October 2015, DOL said.
Statewide, the number rose 1 percent to 9,466,900 from 9,372,800, according to the DOL.
