MASSENA -- SeaComm Federal Credit Union has pledged $9,000 to the St. Lawrence County Fire Training Facility, Inc. in support of the new live-fire training building.

According to the request for support, the current facility, after 28 years of use, now has safety concerns and a lack of structural integrity. Plans have been developed to raise funds, with a goal to start construction on the new facility in one year to 18 months.

“SeaComm is committed to the communities in which it serves,” states. “Every community in northern NY can benefit from the professional fire training that this new facility can provide,” aid SeaComm President and Chief Executive Officer Scott A. Wilson. “This is a concrete way in which SeaComm will share in ensuring that they have the right training facility in place in order to get the needed practical experience to protect themselves while they are in service to others.”
