Presenting will be Richard Torres of the IRS, on basic IRS tax requirements, employment tax, record keeping, and depreciation; Suzanne Reusch from the Department of Taxation and Finance, reviewing the department’s online services, initiatives including explaining tax law in clear English, and assistance in achieving voluntary compliance; and Steve Carbone from the state Workers’ Compensation Board, on who is and is not covered by the law, and examples of applications where workers’ comp coverage is not required.
