POTSDAM – Clarkson University’s Center for Entrepreneurship is offering a new course for small businesses, My Small Business 102: Strategies and Inspiration for the Creatively Inclined, in four Monday sessions, March 14, 21, 28, and April 4.

The series is designed for artists and craftspeople in all stages of their business and will focus on the specific needs of this business community.

Topics include managing and maintaining your business, marketing your business, and selling what you make.

The course will be taught on campus by successful local entrepreneur Sandy Maine, of SunFeather Natural Soap, with guest instructors Hilary Oak, executive director of the SLC Arts Council, and Mary Hilton, owner of the new downtown Potsdam business Maple Run Emporium.

Classes will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. for the first three sessions and 6 to 9 p.m. for the last class.

The cost of the course is $100 and is payable by check or credit card.

To register, contact Erin Draper, associate director of the Center for Entrepreneurship at 268-3995 or edraper@clarkson.edu.

The Center has taught the popular My Small Business 101 series to over 600 small business owners since 2004. My Small Business 102 is a new course and is the first in a series of niche-specific training courses.
