SeaComm Credit Union recently hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony and grand opening event for their newest branch in Plattsburgh.
The Plattsburgh branch finalized construction and was open to the public the end of May.
The 5,250 square-foot branch mirrors the lobby design of both the Malone branch and SeaComm’s main headquarters in Massena. The credit union also has branches in Potsdam, Malone, Canton, and Ogdensburg.
The facility has a three-lane drive-thru area, two 24/7 (interior and exterior) ATM/IDMs, as well as cash recyclers, or ECRs, at the teller stations.
The private celebratory event was attended by SeaComm administrators, senior leaders, volunteers and several staff with guests. Representatives of the project design team, P. W. Campbell, project vendor representatives, local dignitaries and fellow local credit union officials, CEOs and staff, joined them.
“We are very pleased to be a part of the greater Plattsburgh community and that our new location on the corner of Tom Miller Rd. and Smithfield Blvd. will give our membership access to a highly visible ever-expanded retail location,” Seacomm CEO Scott Wilson said in a prepared statement. “The Town of Plattsburgh was very supportive of our new building project throughout the planning and construction phase. We are very excited and look forward to the opportunity to serve in this new market and be an intricate partner in this vibrant community.”
