OGDENSBURG -- The Northern New York Community Foundation is now managing a fund for the Frederic Remington Art Museum.
The Frederic Remington Art Museum Fund will grow separately from the museum's endowment fund holdings. A news release says the new fund "will disburse 4 percent of its value annually, creating a new revenue stream to benefit the museum’s operations.
The initial bequest to the new fund came from Mary Colton of Canton.
The Northern New York Community Foundation has worked with the museum in the past, supporting the museum’s capital campaign in the late-1990s and, more recently, supported the centennial campaign.
