Radio stations B 99.3 and STAR 100.1 teamed up with area businesses in November to keep local kids warm by asking people to donate new or gently used coats to their winter campaign, “Coats for Kids.”

This year nearly 600 coats were collected at a number of participating locations listed below.

The coats were given to two The Potsdam Holiday Fund and The Canton Church and Community Program for distribution in their service areas.

Jeff and Dave Demo, owners of Potsdam Laundry and Dry Cleaning and their staff graciously laundered the gently used coats.

Vinny, B 99.3 morning host, broadcast live from several collection locations during the drive to bring awareness to the effort and collect coats.

“We'd like to thank everyone for their generosity during this special campaign, the businesses for their support, and Potsdam Laundry and Dry Cleaning for cleaning the gently used coats." said B 99.3 and STAR 100.1 General Manager John Winter.
