Price Chopper, with several stores in St. Lawrence County, issues recall on chicken cutlets

Posted

Price Chopper is voluntary recalling toasted coconut panko breaded hand-dredged chicken cutlets sold in both the custom cut case and in the packaged meat case.

They have stores in Massena, Ogdensburg, Canton, Gouverneur and Potsdam.

The seasoning used to coat the chicken is being recalled because it contains milk, a known allergen, which is not listed on the ingredient label. If you do not have a milk allergy, there is no health risk.

Customers who have an affected product may return it to their local Price Chopper/Market 32 for a full refund.

Many of the customers who purchased these items have already been contacted through the company’s SoundBite notification program, which uses purchase data and consumer phone numbers on file in connection with the company’s AdvantEdge (loyalty) card to alert those households that may have purchased the product in question.
