CANTON -- National Grid has scheduled power interruptions for Dec. 15 and 18 that will affect the east side of the village.
The Canton Police Department has been advised that the first interruption, scheduled from 5 to 8 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 15, will affect University Plaza, Kinney Drugs, Key Bank, Canton Manor Housing, the Human Services Building and the Conrail crossing lights, and other nearby customers.
If there is a weather interruption or delay, it will be rescheduled for Dec. 17 at the same time.
The Dec. 18 interruption will again affect homes and businesses along State Route 310 from State Route 11 north to the Judson Street area and within a half-mile radius off of Route 310. About 80 customers are expected to be affected by this scheduled interruption, from 9 a.m. to noon.
If weather intercedes, it will be rescheduled for Dec. 19 at the same time.
Homeowners and businesses should plan around those dates to insure their homes or facilities are protected from the potential effects of cold weather, police advise.
Should there be any concerns, customers should contact National Grid directly.
