CANTON -- Cornell Cooperative Extension’s new Poultry Discussion Group will meet at 7 p.m. Jan. 27 at the Extension Learning Farm, Rt. 68, and will be linked by video to Jefferson County participants.
The poultry group is for those interested in getting into chicken or turkey production. Corey Hayes, farm business management educator from Jefferson County, will speak on budgeting.
Questions to be examined include: What would it take to raise 250 birds? What expenses do producers have? What does a producer need to charge to come out ahead of costs? People are welcome to attend and bring their records.
Registration is requested; call 379-9192. Also let them know if you have special needs.
