POTSDAM -- The owner and operators of The Wayne Allan Salon, 1 Market St., attended a recent gathering to remember Joanne Bigwarfe on her birthday and presented a $600 check to "Joanne's Gift of Love."
The salon held a fundraiser during October selling products and "lips" to raise money for cancer charities.
Wayne Allan, co-owner of the salon, also donated all haircuts on two Saturdays during the month.
The family acknowledged the donation by thanking everyone for their contributions and gave thanks to owners Jayson Steere and Wayne Allan and stylist Kate Charleson.
Joanne's mom said, "and we thank you from the bottom of our heart."
