POTSDAM -- To clear the way for the new Hampton Inn, the building housing the Potsdam café and restaurant Scoopuccino’s was moved today.
After being cut apart and lifted with a crane, a roof section of the building was loaded on trailer, ready to be moved to a lot near Lowe's.
"I have a lot of mixed emotions watching it be dismantled," said Michelle Sheehan, owner. "This has been a great location for us."
Her husband, Jim Sheehan, who built the structure, said it was too good a building to just rip up.
Sources close to the situation said the restaurant might, or might not, reopen.
