POTSDAM -- Market Lanes bowling alley has been recognized by the Potsdam Chamber of Commerce as a nominee for the Pride in Potsdam award.
Market Lanes, 144 Market St., has done renovations this year. Owner Tom Kiereck added new flooring and brighter colors and opened the lounge area beyond the bar to provide additional seating and arcade games.
Market Lanes was chosen because it “is a business that believes in being a part of the community and supporting its community,” said Marylee Ballou, Potsdam Chambers’ executive director.
Market Lanes is the third nominee to be chosen. One more nominee will be named this month, and the award will be presented at the Potsdam Chamber’s dinner on Nov. 15.
