Potsdam Holiday Fund receives $1,000 donation from Stewart’s Shops through Holiday Match Program

POTSDAM -- The Potsdam Holiday Fund Inc. received a $1,000 donation from Stewart’s Shops through the company’s Holiday Match Program, which benefits children’s organizations directly within the communities where Stewart’s Shops are located.

All of the funds collected from Stewart’s customers, as well as the amount Stewart’s matches, stay in the communities that contributed to the program.

The Market Street shop had the highest percentage increase in holiday match donations in 2016, the largest increase of all 336 Stewart’s stores.

In December 2016, the Potsdam Holiday Fund provided warm winter clothing, food and gifts for 360 families, including 629 children and 153 senior citizens living in Potsdam and the surrounding communities of Hopkinton, Nicholville, Brasher Falls, Chase Mills, Fort Jackson, West Stockholm and Winthrop.
