Potsdam Chamber seeks nods for Pride in Potsdam Award

POTSDAM -- The Potsdam Chamber of Commerce is seeking nominations for its Pride in Potsdam Community Award, which reflects the efforts of an organization or business in enhancing the quality of life in Potsdam.

The nominations are reviewed using the following criteria: ongoing commitment to enhancing Potsdam, engagement in specific activities that result in positive acclaim or recognition for themselves as well as the community, acts as a positive role model for other organizations or businesses in Potsdam, and supports other charitable and service organizations.

Nomination forms are available at the Potsdam Chamber office, 24 Market St., or by request at potsdam@slic.com.

The form can also be found on the Potsdam Chamber of Commerce Facebook page.

“Along with the nomination form, letters of support, testimonials, and other support materials are encouraged in order to give the review committee a complete picture of the nominees qualifications” said Executive Director Marylee Ballou.

The Potsdam Chamber will also take any suggestions of individuals in the Potsdam community that would meet the qualifications for its Outstanding Citizen Award.

“Basically the criteria are the same as that of the Pride in Potsdam Community Award, but just on the individual level.” stated Ballou.

Suggestions can be submitted to potsdam@slic.com or mailed to the Chamber Office.

The Deadline for submissions is Thursday, Oct. 13 and awards will be presented at the chamber’s annual dinner on November 16.
