POTSDAM -- The Potsdam Chamber will officially welcome Plaice 2 Meat, a Mediterranean sandwich shop located at 57 Market St., with a ribbon cutting during the grand opening celebration at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 21.
The grand opening event will also include raffles and discounted offerings.
Plaice 2 Meat offers a culturally rich culinary experience and the menu features shawarma, falafel made-to-order salads, soup of the week specials, and a juice bar.
Food is served take-out style and the restaurant offers seating for around 40 patrons.
Owners Tarik Maatallah and Badra Rouhi have lived in the North Country since 2004.
Hours are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 2. a.m. Friday and Saturday.
