OGDENSBURG -- An Ottawa-based manufacturer hopes to create 15 new jobs in Ogdensburg over the next three years.

Flexus Electronics, which is based in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, manufactures quality wiring harnesses, cables and electro-mechanical assemblies. They are a full service supplier that provides their customers with total manufacturing support from engineering prototypes through to final volume production.

Flexus plans to begin operation in February in the Authority’s Commerce Park. The company plans to hire four employees to start and projects to have 15 employees on their payroll in three years.

The Ogdensburg Bridge and Port Authority (OBPA) recently entered into a lease agreement with an Ottawa-based manufacturer of wiring harnesses that will open their United States operation in Ogdensburg.

“This new facility will open up new business opportunities for Flexus with companies we supply that need to meet Buy America requirements for US military contracts and public transportation projects,” stated Ron Ringuette, General Manager of Flexus Electronics and Flexus USA - its new New York State corporation. “We are very pleased to be opening our US operation in Ogdensburg, New York.”
