OGDENSBURG -- In memory of DeFelsko Corporation founder Frank Koch, the employees of DeFelsko have started a pet food drive to support St. Lawrence Valley SPCA.
DeFelsko was a longtime supporter of the SPCA before his death in 2011.
Karen Cunningham was on hand to collect the donated pet food along with proceeds from a 50/50 raffle. The lucky raffle winner donated the winnings back to the cause. DeFelsko also matched the employee contributions.
The mission of the St. Lawrence Valley SPCA is to provide quality care for unwanted animals, alleviate pain and suffering, promote quality adoptions, advocate spay/neuter as the only humane method of pet population control, and to educate the public on humane treatment of all animals.
More information on donating to the shelter can be found at www.stlawrencevalleyspca.org/donations.php
