The Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee for Bricklayers & Allied Craftworkers, Local #2, Ogdensburg is trying to recruit five bricklayer, mason, and plasterer apprentices from June 2 through May 29, 2015.
Applications are available at he St. Lawrence Career Center, 80 State Highway 310, Suite 8, Canton, NY, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., excluding legal holidays.
Applicant requirements include:
Must be at least 18 years old.
Must have a high school diploma or a high school equivalency diploma (such as TASC or GED).
Must be physically able to lift 50 to 100 lbs.
Must have reliable transportation to and from job sites and related instruction classes.
Must have a valid driver’s license in order to operate company vehicles.
Must reside (for at least six months prior to application) within the geographic jurisdiction of Local Union #2, which includes all St. Lawrence County.
Must provide military transfer card or discharge form DD-214, if applicable, after selection and prior to indenture.
