LAS VEGAS, NV -- The Ogdensburg Bridge and Port Authority is showcasing the Ogdensburg International Airport at a gathering of airline representatives this week.
World Routes 2013 is meeting in Las Vegas this week with over 300 CEOs, 1,000 airports, 300 airlines, and 250 suppliers.
World Routes is the largest airlines convention in the world (www.routesonline.com). It is the place where airports meet with airlines to promote the use of their facilities for the benefit of the traveling public, to meet specialized air carriers, and air cargo handlers with unique needs.
“The Conference Board of Canada projects that over five million Canadians will cross the Unites States border by land in 2013 to fly out of US airports,” said OBPA Executive Director Wade A. Davis. “Ogdensburg is located 45 minutes south of 1.2 million Ottawa residents. Ogdensburg International Airport has the potential to become Ottawa’s US airport if we find the right carrier-airport combination. Five million Canadians can’t be wrong.”
“Ogdensburg International Airport can be an economic driver of the community. It is an honor to represent the Board and learn about the complexities of the airline industry,” said OBPA Chairperson Samuel J. LaMacchia.
