OGDENSBURG -- The Greater Ogdensburg Chamber of Commerce has its annual dinner on Friday, Nov. 12, at the Gran-View Restaurant.

They are now accepting nominations for the 2010 Citizen of the Year.

Some of the criteria used in judging are: Is the service they do a part of their job? What kind of service do they do/offer? How long have they been doing this service? How many service projects are they involved in or have been involved in? How many people does their service work effect? Who does their service work effect (kids-seniors)? Are they creative? Are they able to motivate others?

The chamber is also accepting nominations for the Business Improvement Award recipient. They are looking for a business that has had a profound positive impact on the community and its appearance by renovating and revitalizing an existing building into a thriving business enterprise. The winner is awarded a plaque which is displayed in City Hall.

The chamber is also accepting nominations for the Outstand Community Service Award recipient. Traditionally this award goes to a person or group who have contributed time and work to a project from which the community benefits.

Nomination deadline is Oct. 17. Call 393-3620 or mail nominations to the chamber at 330 Ford Street.
