OGDENSBURG -- The Great Ogdensburg Chamber of Commerce is seeking nominations for Citizen of the Year, Business Improvement Award and Outstanding Community Service Award, with recipients to be honored at the annual dinner held at the Gran-View Restaurant on Friday, Nov. 4.
Written nominations for the prestigious Citizen of the Year award must include a brief explanation stating what qualifies your nominee for Citizen of the Year. Thomas E. Hannan Sr. was honored as the 2015 Citizen of the Year.
The Business Improvement Award recognizes a business that has had a profound positive impact on the community and its appearance by renovating and revitalizing an existing building or area into a thriving business enterprise in which the community can be proud. John Wade and Carlos Lopez of the Sherman Inn Bed and Breakfast received the 2015 award.
The Outstanding Community Service Award honors a person or group who has made a substantial contribution of their time, work and philosophies into a project or program for which the entire.
Ogdensburg community benefits. The St. Lawrence Federal Credit Union was honored with the 2015 award.
