OGDENSBURG – The Greater Ogdensburg Chamber of Commerce is accepting nominations for the 2011 Citizen of the Year to be announced at their annual dinner Friday, Nov. 4 at the Gran-View Restaurant.
Nominations must be in by Oct. 12 to be considered.
Send the Chamber your written nomination with a brief explanation about what qualifies this person for Citizen of the Year.
The chamber is also accepting nominations for the Business Improvement Award recipient.
They are looking for a business that has had a profound positive impact on the community and its appearance by renovating and revitalizing an existing building into a thriving business enterprise that the community can be proud. The winner is presented with a plaque that is displayed in City Hall.
The chamber is also accepting nominations for the Outstanding Community Service Award recipient.
Traditionally this award goes to a person or group who has made a substantial contribution of their time, work and philosophies into a project or program for which the entire community benefits.
