NORWOOD --- The Norwood Fire Department recently received a $1,000 donation from Sue Perry, owner and operator of Perry’s Big M.
The contribution is a major kick-start toward covering the thousands of dollars that Norwood’s famous 4th July fireworks display will cost.
The $2 admission charge at the gate can no longer cover the cost of such a large display, according to department treasurer Tim Donohue.
This year the department has asked its local merchants to help keep Norwood’s 77th celebration the biggest and the best in the North Country.
“Sue has always been there for the Fire Department and her support is most appreciated,” Donohue said.
