Rep. Stefanik visits Hopkinton business
HOPKINTON – Rep. Elise Stefanik visited St. Lawrence County last week and made several stops.
The first-term congresswoman, a Republican from Willsboro in the 21st Congressional District, met with educators and others from Clarkson University, SUNY Potsdam and its Crane School of Music, SUNY Canton, and St. Lawrence University.
She also toured NUMed Medical Supply in Hopkinton, a uniqure business in Dt. Lawrence County manufacturing medical devices.
“We discussed issues concerning the medical device industry, and specifically, the need to repeal Obamacare's medical device tax that is hurting our job creators. I am a cosponsor of the Protect Medical Innovation Act would repeal this burdensome tax,” Stefanik said.
