CANTON -- North Country Neighbors flea market mall in Potsdam is opening a second store in Canton.
North Country Neighbors Too will be at 21 Miner Street, in the former Aubuchon building. Like the Potsdam store, the new location will feature vendor booths with a wide variety of items from the practical to the peculiar.
Now in her second decade in business, owner Cathy Connolly said she felt it was time to expand.
“We've developed a strong reputation in Potsdam,” Connolly said. “We take pride in our clean, relaxing space and our honest North Country personality.”
“I'm very excited to be doing this in Canton,” Connolly said. “I taught in Banford years ago. My father grew up on a farm in Canton and my great grandfather owned Taylor Feeds. I'm very glad I'll be able to contribute to the community again.”
As in the Potsdam store, NCNToo will offer vintage items, antiques, and flea market finds including fashions, books and media, jewelry, costumes, furniture, houseware, decor, and more.
A number of vendors in the Potsdam store will also be setting up in Canton.
The Canton store is expected to open in April. In the meantime, Connolly said that anyone interested in becoming a vendor at the new location should call the Potsdam store at 268-1055 for more information.
Two part-time workers are expected to manage the operation.
