The North Country Children’s Museum recently received $5,000 for the museum’s capital campaign to fund the design, fabricate and install interactive exhibits in its new home.
The cash came from Community Bank.
The North Country Children’s Museum new quarters will be in downtown Potsdam and is projected to open in December 2017. The museum, which encourages creativity and inquiry through active hands-on participation, will have exhibits such as Innovation Station, Adirondack Science, Mohawk Culture and Construction Zone.
“The museum creates engaging, impactful and memorable experiences for the children of our community and allows them to become a scientist, artist or construction worker for the day,” bank vice president Victoria Strader said in a prepared statement. “We are excited to see the exhibits come to fruition.”
