The number of non-farm jobs in the state has increased over the past year, but not in St. Lawrence County.
The state Labor Department released figures this week listing the change in the number of non-farm jobs county by county and in the state as a whole.
From July 2013 to July 2014, the figures show no change in St. Lawrence County, with 38,900 jobs outside of agriculture this year and last year.
In the state as a whole, there were 8,922,900 jobs in July 2013 and 9,057,300 in July 2014, an increase of 1.5 percent.
County by county unemployment figures for July are due from DOL the week of Aug. 18.
