CANTON -- The St. Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce has published their new outdoor recreation website STLCtrails.com.
Those looking for ways to be outside and active can access hundreds of miles of trails and waterways any time of year. STLC Trails is a free website that is mobile friendly and brings together information, maps, photographs, and user-submitted trip comments for a growing database of four-season trails in St. Lawrence County.
The STLCtrails.com website was created to make it as easy as possible for residents and visitors to spend time outdoors.
On the website, visitors have the ability to search and discover recreation opportunities based on their current location, or by choosing a location on the map. Recreation opportunities exist for hiking, walking, or horseback trails, paddling, mountain bike and cycling routes, ATV and snowmobile trails.
Share your experiences by following @VisitSTLC on Instagram and posting your trail experiences with #STLCtrails on Facebook and Instagram.
Community partners are needed in order to continue making this a valuable resource. If you are interested in contributing data to this project, please contact Brooke Rouse at brooke@slcchamber.org. Photos, descriptions and GPS data are welcome.
This county wide outdoor recreation initiative would not have been possible without the grant funding support from the River Valley Redevelopment Agency, as well as ongoing support from our community partners: Nature up North, Community GIS, and the St. Lawrence County Trails Coordinator.
