MASSENA -- A new restaurant is open in the village on East Orvis Street.

Marc Morley, one of the eatery’s co-owners, says they’ve done well since opening March 1 and the local response has been “overwhelming.”

“We’ve had a great reception from the community. It’s been overwhelming how much we’ve been supported so far. We look forward to being a staple in the Village of Massena,” he said. “The first couple days were a little hectic, but we’ve come leaps and bounds since last Wednesday as far as organization and procedures, computers and figuring out the kitchen. There’s a bit of a learning curve.”

They have two menus, which he describes as a “pub menu” and a “fine dining menu.” The pub menu includes burgers, sandwiches, salads and bar appetizers. The fine dining menu features steak and seafood, homemade pastas and dinner appetizers. They also have tavern-style seating and a “white tablecloth dining room.”

“We offer both menus on both sides of the restaurant,” Morley said. “It’s been working out pretty good for large parties, especially if they have kids and they want mozzarella sticks and parents want steak or lobster.”

The restaurant is on East Orvis Street in the former Angelo’s.

The bar area opens at 11 a.m. and the dining room at 4 p.m., seven days per week. The kitchen closes at 9 p.m. and the bar’s closing times depends on business.

They will add takeout and delivery in the coming weeks, Morley said.

“Once we get our procedures down and we’re ready for it … we’ll open to takeout and deliveries during lunchtime,” Morley said.

He co-owns the restaurant with his wife, Megan Morley, and his brother and his wife, Matt Morley and Lauren Morley.

Matt Morley also teaches at Ogdensburg City School District. Megan Morley is a Lisbon Central principal.
